AVCE featured in Economic times for NPTEL based education

NPTEL a joint Initiative of 7 IITs and IISc Bangalore, funded by MHRD, Govt.of India and Supported by NASSCOM is offered at AVCE. Many of our students have made use of this facility by taking up the on-line certification courses and Exams. This information has been featured in the Economic Times. The NPTEL curriculum consists of Video lectures for the different engineering subjects created by distinguished IIT professors along with periodic assignments and a final exam invigilated by staff members selected by NPTEL. Students earning good scores in the assignments and final exam are eligible for a certificate recognized by NPTEL.

In the previous year, 150 of our students took up the NPTEL digital classes along with the relevant assignments. 77 students registered for the on-line certification exams and 73 students passed the exams. Among them 35 of the students passed under the Elite category. We are quite proud of our students for securing a collective pass percentage of 95% which is the highest for any education institution in southern India.


NPTEL congratulated this remarkable achievement indicating the maximum registration of the students for the exam and also for getting the maximum pass percentage. One of the main co-coordinators of NPTEL Prof. Mangal Sundar, IIT Chennai himself visited our college and distributed the NPTEL certificates to the deserving students.
