CCNA workshop at AVCE campus by NIIT

The students of the II, III & IV year of Computer Science Engineering & Electronics and communication Engineering attended a workshop on 20th Aug 2016, which was organized by Computer Science department as a part of their curriculum through NIIT at AVCE campus. The workshop was based on the topic of CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) and its applications. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Jones Christopher & his Teammates, from NIIT, Nagercoil.

The role and skills required by engineers are evolving significantly as enterprise networks encounter increased business demands and technology advancements. For individuals looking to build and validate Cisco networking fundamentals, the Cisco CCNA Routing and Switching program focuses on foundational IP networking skills required to deploy, operate and troubleshoot network. It introduces awareness of programmable networks, VPN technologies, adoption of IPv6, virtualized and cloud services and the ability to ensure critical career is being properly prioritized.

This workshop on CCNA course teaches learners how to install, operate, configure, and
verify a basic IPv4 and IPv6 network, including configuring a LAN switch, configuring an IP
router, identifying basic security threats, understanding redundant topologies, troubleshooting common network issues, connecting to a WAN, configuring EIGRP and OSPF in both IPv4 and IPv6, understanding wide-area network technologies, and getting familiar with device management
